Seekor harimau sumatera bernama Lanustika berusia 3 tahun dilepasliarkan di salah satu kawasan konservasi di Provinsi Riau, oleh Balai Besar KSDA Riau bekerja sama dengan Yayasan Arsari Djodjohadikusumo, pada Sabtu, 26 Maret 2022.
“Lanustika adalah Harimau Sumatera yang ditangkap karena konflik dengan manusia di Kampung Teluk Lanus, Kec. Sungai Apit, Kab. Siak pada 29 Agustus 2021,” ujar Fifin Arfiana Jogasara, Plt. Kepala Balai Besar KSDA Riau pada saat pelepasliaran tersebut.
Fifin menjelaskan jika upaya penangkapan Lanustika dilakukan oleh tim gabungan yang terdiri dari Balai Besar KSDA Riau, Yayasan Arsari, dan para pihak dengan menggunakan kandang jebak selama delapan hari sejak tanggal 31 Agustus – 8 September tahun 2021.
“Saat itu akhirnya tim berhasil menangkap harimau sumatera tersebut pada tanggal 8 September 2021 pukul 18.30 WIB,” imbuh Fifin.
Selanjutnya setelah penangkapan, harimau sumatera, Lanustika dibawa untuk diobservasi dan dilakukan pengobatan di Pusat Rehabilitasi Harimau Sumatera Dharmasraya. Pada tanggal 13 September 2021, Lanustika dinyatakan sehat dan sembuh dengan Body Condition Score, ideal, serta dinyatakan layak untuk dilepasliarkan dengan perkembangan berat badan menjadi 108 kg dan panjang 203 cm dari awal seberat 85,2 kg dan panjang 145 cm.
“Proses pelepasliaran ini menempuh perjalanan kurang lebih 15 Jam, dan pada tanggal 26 Maret 2022 sekitar pukul 08.00 WIB, alhamdulillah pelepasliaran Lanustika dapat dilaksanakan dengan lancar,” tutur Fifin.
Pelepasliaran Lanustika sudah mengacu pada SE Dirjen KSDAE nomor 8/KSDAE/KKH/KSA.2/5/2020 tentang petunjuk teknis pelepasliaran satwa liar di masa pandemic covid 19. Pelepasliaran ini juga menjadi bukti kepemimpinan dengan contoh (leading by examples) yang diusung G20 Presidensi Indonesia, melalui aksi-aksi nyata Indonesia dalam menyelamatkan biodiversitas/keanekaragaman hayati yang menjadi salah satu isu bidang lingkungan hidup dan perubahan iklim yang dibahas dalam pertemuan G20.
“Dengan pelepasliaran ini mudah-mudahan harimau sumatera yang merupakan satwa dilindungi dan secara red list IUCN masuk ke dalam critically endangered dapat berkembang dengan baik,” pungkas Fifin.
Selanjutnya untuk kedepannya untuk Tim Balai Besar KSDA Riau dengan para pihak terkait akan melakukan pemantauan di lapangan paska pelepasliaran. Pelepasliaran ini dihadiri juga oleh Kepala Balai KSDA Sumatera Barat dan perwakilan Yayasan Arsari Djodjohadikusumo.(*)
